You are exactly where you need to be even though it may not feel that way and everything you need to overcome and move through this chapter in life is with you. My job is to help you unfold that, sometimes give a little push, and help you regain balance. I utilize an integrative and holistic approach, based on your personality, needs and the area of concern. Therefore, treatment is different for each person and may be Humanistic, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), or Systems, but often experiential incorporating the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions of your being.

I received my Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University and my Master’s in Clinical Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. My experiences have been with a wide variety of clients and topics and I enjoy the richness of working with individuals from all walks of life. As a therapist, I strive to ensure that the largest influence on your life story is your genuine self, not judgment, worry, fear, or external entities. To do this, I help you: identify what has held you down or is holding you back, discard unnecessary judgment, and leave behind what no longer serves you, so that you can embrace positive change.

My therapeutic style is holistic, considering the whole person instead of focusing solely on psychological symptoms. I utilize a variety of behavioral and experiential therapies and techniques, which I tailor to
the unique and specific needs of my clients. My career path has afforded me the great fortune of working with clients from many different walks of life, addressing a spectrum of topics in a variety of settings.

I have provided individual, family, and group counseling for adolescents and adults, as well as crisis management support. The seeds of my career were planted when I was a 19-year-old undergraduate at
Illinois State University; I volunteered with a crisis hotline and never looked back. I went on to received my Master’s Degree in School Counseling and Clinical Counseling from Lewis University and committed
myself to helping others craft a life they can look back on with satisfaction.

We are all the authors of our own life story; but sometimes we lose our pen, get writers block, or let someone or something else take over our narrative. My job is to make sure that your pen is firmly in your grasp and that the story you are writing is truly your own, free of judgment or bias and full of honesty and insight. We can’t go back and change the beginning, but we can start where you are and change the ending.

I have a M.A. in Counseling and believe in striving to meet clients wherever they are along their journey and working together to create a treatment plan that utilizes a holistic therapeutic approach. Together, we will tailor your care to meet your specific needs and address your concerns. My background in trauma-focused therapy allows me to take proven techniques from this branch of therapy and apply them across the board to each client’s unique needs, whether trauma related or not. I strive to take the time to get to know you and tailor your treatment specifically to your needs, while providing a safe and judgement-free therapeutic environment.

To assist you in becoming more attuned to and aware of your behaviors and environment, I utilize various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness. I am able to apply these approaches across a diverse group of clients including individuals, couples, adolescents, and adults.

I view therapy not as a way to bandage or fix something that you feel is wrong with you or your relationships. Rather, I view therapy as a way to gain more effective tools to begin building towards gaining more positive outlook on life, especially when we may feel at our lowest. My goal is to help you understand your concerns and experiences so you may learn and grow to gain a greater sense of self.

Therapy is an essential way to develop the tools necessary to navigate one’s life. In our work together, I will provide a safe space to be able to allow you to look at each aspect of your life, and find ways to  help you evolve into the person you want to be. I utilize an integrative and holistic approach, taking into account your individual needs and expectations for therapy. Whether utilizing Existentialism, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), or Person-Centered approach I believe I can create a therapeutic environment that will provide both support, and a  space to work through the obstacles that are getting in the way of your journey.

I received my Master’s degree from Roosevelt University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. In my experience, I have had the privilege of working with a wide variety of clients, supporting each one in recognizing their vision for therapy. I look forward to the opportunity of working together.

Therapy is an opportunity for transformation through a deeper understanding and acceptance of who you are. I pull from multiple approaches to meet you where you are, create a safe space to explore, and navigate this healing journey. I utilize mindfulness, holistic health, and creative arts techniques to facilitate the development of an individuals’ relationship with oneself. Whether seeking therapy during a time of hardship or out of a desire to know yourself more deeply, the choice to engage in therapy is a brave and invaluable one.

I hold a Master's degree in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University. I specialize in working with young adults and adults interested in deepening their relationship with themselves, others, and the world around them. I believe that therapy and the creative process of art can provide expansive ways to look at life, sustain motivation, and unearth new sources of inspiration.

My primary goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which you are able to discuss your thoughts and feelings without fear. I enjoy incorporating aspects from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Person Centered Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Feminist Theory, and more. However, I recognize that each person I meet is a unique individual and adjust my approach based on what you need, working collaboratively to achieve your counseling goals.
I earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lewis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Elmhurst College. I have also had experiences working in inpatient psychiatric units, a mental health crisis hotline, and private practice settings, which have allowed me to work with a wide range of concerns and demographics.

At Evolve, I strive to be a safe space for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. I understand the impact that the world can have on identity and community and provide affirming and culturally responsive counseling.

As a therapist, I am passionate about assisting clients more effectively manage issues involving substance abuse, ADHD, LGBTQIA+ matters, PMDD, religious trauma, anxiety, and depression. My approach is flexible and responsive, meeting you in your present circumstance and exploring the deeper issues that may lie beneath the surface. I frequently use cognitive and dialectical behavioral therapy because they allow for the exploration of thought patterns and encourage mindfulness techniques that increase one's ability to self-regulate. I also appreciate bringing in additional creative and dynamic approaches when the situation calls for it.

I firmly believe in fostering a strong therapeutic relationship that promotes healing and growth that honors the authentic self. My intention is to create a space where clients feel both seen and heard. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to be a dedicated ally in your journey. To broaden your awareness and skills. I aim to be a support that will facilitate transparent collaboration as we work towards your goals.

I personally know what it's like to question one's current reality and go through difficult transformations as my path to becoming a therapist was not direct. I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. After college, I pivoted into the world of tech sales but still felt something was missing. Although I did not pursue that path further, those experiences were incredibly valuable and led me to a profound realization: my true passion lies in mental health and helping people. I believe that there is a lesson to be learned in every situation. By permitting the opportunity for one to reflect on their experiences with curiosity instead of judgment or shame, we open the door to unending possibilities.

I now hold a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and consider it the highest privilege to be helping others as a profession. I hope you'll join me in taking the next step toward living a life that reflects the person you are now and the person you strive to become.
